Description

Altice Forum Braga hosted, between November 9 and 10, 2019, the sixth edition of Expo Animal, which, once again, had the collaboration of Clube Português de Canicultura and Clube Português de Felinicultura. 

This edition registered the registration of more than 1600 dogs and 200 cats, to which were added several species of unique and rare exotic animals, as well as, close to two dozen exhibitors. 

More than 10,000 people from different parts of the country, as well as neighbouring Spain, went through what is already a reference in the sector at national and international level. 

In addition to the canine and feline beauty exhibitions, both national and international, visitors had the opportunity to be enchanted by dozens of exotic animals, with special emphasis on the Civeta, the Weasels, the Red Iguana, Tarantula, Giant Tortoise and the Bearded Dragons, among many reptiles, birds, among others, but the sensation of the event was the presentation of the ant colonies, debutants at Expo Animal, and that delighted everyone who passed by to see the novelty. There was also space for raising awareness about the adoption of animals, under the responsibility of AGERE and the Abandoned Pets Association, as well as for the presence of several companies offering services for animals, accessories, and food products. 

As is tradition, and constituting one of the main reasons for interest, the 6th edition of Expo Animal welcomed the realization of canine and feline exhibitions included in the national and international calendar. Thus, in collaboration with the Clube Português de Canicultura, the 13th National Dog Show and the 10th International Dog Show took place in Braga. At the same time, the 16th and 17th International Cat Show of Braga also took place, which recorded the collaboration of the Clube Português de Felinicultura.
